OUR STORY
We formed in 2016 after seeing an extreme need for support and attention to schools in our neighbouring nation of PNG. It then became our mission to change this!
Papua New Guinea has the lowest literacy rate in the Asia-Pacific region, 36% of the adult population is illiterate.
With no books or resources, school libraries are deteriorating and as a result, children's education suffers. We have plenty of these resources in New Zealand, which are taken for granted, stored to collect dust or thrown away.
These books can change the lives of so many children and ignite potential.
We are continuously overwhelmed by the kind donations from local communities and schools. This has enabled us to fill containers to ship to Papua New Guinea. We are then able to start our work transferring them to the shelves of PNG primary schools.
